The association's membership consists of 248 public research universities (including the University of Oregon), land-grant institutions, state university systems, and affiliated organizations.

  • Association of American Universities (AAU) - Founded in 1900, the Association of American Universities is composed of America’s leading research universities. AAU’s 65 research universities, including the University of Oregon, transform lives through education, research, and innovation. 

  • Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) - APRU membership is comprised of leading universities (including the University of Oregon) from 19 economies of the Pacific Rim known worldwide for their academic and research excellence.

  • Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact- an initiative to fast-track scientific discoveries into innovations that improve the quality of life for people in Oregon, the nation, and the world. The campus creates the intellectual infrastructure to establish Oregon as a center for both research and development, making Oregon a place where companies can start-up, grow, and stay.

  • Government and Community Relations- Coordinates the University of Oregon's legislative and advocacy efforts at the federal, state, and local levels, builds and strengthens relationships with the UO's constituencies and encourages investment in and support for the university, its programs, and its initiatives.
